Isn't it Romantic? :: Lovely Blog Party Kickoff!

Well, my dear ladies, (and gents, should there happen to be a few of you) it is February. The month where you are either in love, or are suffering from a lonely heart. No matter which category you find yourself in, we all do enjoy fantasizing about romance. And perhaps, you will happen to meet a very dashing young man sometime in the near future. And should this occur, you first question may come in the words of young Amy March. "Oh Jo, is he very romantic?!"

Everybody has their little things and gestures that they consider to be "romantic" and thanks to Cordy, I get to fill out a tag entirely based on romantic stereotypes! This is my first post that I'm contributing to Cordy's Lovely Blog Party, which runs for all of February, and I'm super excited to be participating! Hope over and give her positively delightful blog a look, if you haven't already! Do join in the festivities!

So without further ado, the tag! (also a heads up, I plan to use as many adorable couple photos as I possibly can because it satisfies my inner romantic, so be prepared for lots of gross, mushy love and all the great junk ;))

Isn't it romantic to be serenaded?

Well, I suppose it depends on the situation of the serenading. If he was outside your window in the middle of the night and singing for the world to hear, then no. You may go away Sir. Take yourself and your creepiness else where. Good Day to you.

But! Were the serenading to take place when maybe the two of you were hanging out, and he should happen to have a guitar handy, then I think it would be super sweet if he managed to pull it off in a not-so-awkward way.

Isn't it romantic to have pet names for each other?

Um YES!! I looove when couples have pet names. I think its the cutest thing!

Isn't it romantic if he wants you to look him in the eye?

THIS. Like 100% yes. It means he wants your attention and he really wants you to listen to what he's saying.

Isn't it romantic to be carried across the threshold?

Aww yeeeeah. It's such a lovely tradition and my future husband better do this ^.^

Isn't it romantic to receive flowers and chocolates?

I think its so sweet when guys go out of their way to bring you chocolate and flower. Also it's chocolate, so like why not?(also I think its adorable when he brings you just a single flower, instead of a massive bouquet)

Isn't it romantic to get caught in the rain?

Um like Yes Please!! I've always thought that would be so fun and romantic (bonus points if he'll jump in puddles with you and maybe dance)

Isn't it romantic to dance?

*Sighs* I looooooove to dance, and if my future man can dance it would be a dream come true, so yes :)

Isn't it romantic if he asks for your parent's permission to marry you?

This would honestly be the best, because it means he respects your parents opinion and that their approval means a lot to him, and you have to have that in a man. I'd probably even hope that he would ask my parents permission to date me.

Isn't it romantic to be rescued?

Of course! As long as it's not too dire of a situation, because then there would be chance of tears, and I look like a tomato when I cry, so we may want to avoid that. Unless he is very good at comforting you, then we may just have to risk the tears ;)

Isn't it romantic to stargaze?

I've always wanted to do this, especially on the trampoline with a billion pillows, because then when you are done stargazing, you can have a pillow fight!

And we have come to the end. I must say, that this very much satisfied my inner hopeless romantic. What do you think of each romantic stereotype? Which is your favorite? I'd love to hear what you have to say in the comments! Let me know what y'all are thinkin! xxxx

Voted Most Likely // Stolen Tag

Hello lovelies! In light of my last writerly post, I thought that this tag seemed a very fitting follow up! So, on a particularly rainy day, I was feeling particularly bored, and I was innocently reading my way through blog posts and I stumbled across this tag. Now I have stolen it and will proceed to fill it out!

So the basic idea of this tag, is a "voted most likely" using your own book characters. And the only rule is to link back to who you stole it from. So thank you Mem for providing me with a tag to steal :) Let us proceed...

Most Likely to Be a Poet

I can see Larkin, from my WIP Shadows End, being a pretty good poet. He's got a rather romantic side to him, though his friends would probably never give him a rest about it ;)

Most Likely to Dance in the Rain

Nevada my MC from the WIP Hidden Corners is definitely a rain dancer. She's energetic and just a happy person, and would do it without prompting.

Most Likely to Look Good in a Kilt

Torryn right here, from Shadows End could rock the kilt. He's not Scottish, but he could pull it off anyways.

Most Likely to Get Punched in the Face

John from The Street Artists.

sigh. Dear John. He is a bit...snarky. Opinionated. Blunt. It's safe to say that there are many many people who would love to, if they have not already, punch John.

Most Likely to Drop Everything and Become a Sheep Herder

Wes from the Street Artists. He's the quiet type, and would probably love to quite his scientist-ing job in trade for a sheep herding job.

Most Likely to Be Found in the Library

Alex from Hidden Corners is a book worm. The library is one of his most common haunts.

Most Likely to Sleep Through an Earthquake

Essilia from Shadows End probably takes this one. She's not the most motivated person, and once she falls asleep, I doubt the end of the world would wake her up.

Most Likely to Steal Food from Other Peoples’ Plates

Also Essilia. She can be a bit...pushy. If Essilia wants your food, Essilia will take your food.

Most Likely to Cheat on a Test

I believe we have established the fact that Essilia might not be the best role model. She probably never bothered to study for said test, she had "better things" to do, and then ended up cheating, mostly for the fun of it.

Isabelle (MC from The Street Artists) is also a cheater. Cheating is probably one of Isabelle's greatest talents, as she has spent many years perfecting the art, and kinda survives on it.

Most Likely to Say “Oops” After Setting Something on Fire

John would probably not only very likely start a fire, but he would most definitely say "oops" after the flame was ignited.

Most Likely to Open an Orphanage

Henyar from Shadows End is the Father Figure of the story. And while I don't think he'd be the absolute best with children (they're probably a little too uncooperative and messy for him) I do believe he would eventually be very good at it and grow to like it.

Most Likely to Run off with the Circus

John again. He prides himself on his self taught Parkour skills, and would love any opportunity to show them off. Plus the circus is probably just the right amount of crazy for him.

Most Likely to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

Raya (MC from Shadows End) and Isabelle (MC from The Street Artists) would both be Zombie Apocalypse survivors, and would probably come through it with out a scratch. Suffice to say, you would not want to be in a fight with either of these two.

Most Likely to Fake Their Own Death

Isabelle again. This girl has got about 101 motivations to fake her death and she possibly could, will, and has done it.

Most Likely to Die and Haunt Their Friends

Gabe from The Street Artists would probably have a blast haunting his friends. He would show up at the most annoying times, drive John insane, and make Isabelle wish he was still alive just so she could punch him. This would only delight Gabe further, because he could be as irritating as he likes and his friends would have no choice but to deal with it XD

And that is that! If you so desire, you have my permission to steal the tag! Just drop me a comment if you decide to do so, I'd love to read your answers! xxx
